How to read what you are looking at.

The colours, the line types and the hatching all carry evidential meaning. Nothing on this map asserts a transmission the sources do not support.

Structure of non-separation

The basemap. Land, coastline and the optional modern-border layer are drawn from Natural Earth, which is in the public domain, and rendered with Leaflet. No tile server is contacted and no API key is used: the geometry ships with the page. Cultural regions, cities, monasteries, textual centres and pilgrimage sites are the interpretive layer; modern borders are off by default and never determine what the map claims.
